Inspired by one of the styles from early woodturning pioneer, Richard Raffin, this piece displays a strong asymmetrical curve starting at the small base and flowing upward and outward to the top rim.  The unique quarter sawn cut of the wood presents dramatic visual flecking where the annual growth rings intersect the face of the wood.  This piece was also turned extremely thin while green which provided it opportunity to dry in a natural organic form.  The sophisticated form of this wood art make it perfect as a decorative focal point in any room.
