 Farm House Collection

These special pieces are made from long-leaf yellow pine salvaged from an old barn believed to be built in the late 1800s by one of the early settling families in east Dallas County in the Long Creek area, which is now present day Sunnyvale, Texas.  Some of the pieces in this collection show blackened nail holes caused by the hand forged wrought iron nails used in its original construction.  In fact, I removed a number of square nails from the boards, which gives further indication to the structures's age.  For more information on this topic, check out this article.  While still primitive in material, the pieces in the Farm House Collection reflect the traditional strength of natural pine with elegant form and shape.
